Stunt Night

The second annual Stunt Night at Santa Pod Raceway saw large crowds witness some awesome stunt action. Although clear skies meant no rain it was very cold so for next year everyone remember hats, scarves and gloves.

The evening kicked off in the Live Action Arena with tyre smoking, sideways driving, displays of Drifting from some of the hottest young talent in the country. This was followed by Trials Biker Chris Doney who showed just what is possible on a mountain bike. Chris was followed by the UKFMX freestyle motocross riders who took it in turns to pull off big air tricks whilst jumping from ramp to ramp.

Over on the track, Rocket Ronnie opened proceedings with the Roaring Thunder Jet truck and was followed by demonstration runs from Drag Racers. Next up was the donut king himself, Terry Grant who not only performed an array of tricks on the ground, he also went up on two wheels in his modified Civic. Also on two wheels or more often one wheel were the stunt riders who made wheelies look easy.

Back in the Live Action Arena the star of the show, Podzilla, was doing what monster trucks do best, jumping in the air and crushing cars! Whilst on track everyone's favourite was Martin Hill in the world record breaking Fireforce 3 Jet Funny Car,

As well as the motor action, there were fire poi displays, a funfair and kids entertainers around site plus live bands, The Boy Done Well, Wazzymadal, and Shims played in Fuelers Bar. The night came to an end with a fireworks display.

Unfortunately the UKFMX riders were unable to perform their second planned show as the landing ramp was completely frosted over, despite this we hope those of you who came to Stunt Night enjoyed the evening and we hope to see you back at Santa Pod soon.
