Stunt Night 2007 Report - Friday 16th February at Santa Pod Raceway

The first ever Stunt Night at Santa Pod Raceway was a great success with several thousand spectators enjoying an evening of thrilling stunt action.

The biggest star of the night was Karl Swallow’s mighty Slingshot Monster Truck which put on two great car crushing shows with caravans also falling victim to the monsters power. Jumping even higher than Slingshot were the UKFMX Motocross riders who pulled off some great tricks whilst getting massive air.

Also up in the live action arena was The Manchester Company of Extreme Largeness who put on a spectacular fire show and the unique Rob Lim with his equally unique stunt car, as well as the D1 drifters.

Fireforce

Down on the track everyone's favourite Jet Car Fireforce 3 was wowing the crowds along with demo runs from the Super Pro ET Alien altered, the Ginger Man junior dragster of Matthew Seamarks and the Santa Pod 2 seater dragster.

The track was also home to more stunt action with the master stunt driver Terry Grant mixing donuts with awesome precision driving before the AWOL stunt riders showed that stunts on two wheels can be just as impressive as on four.

As well as the stunt drivers and riders there was plenty more entertainment around site with the funfair rides spinning and whirling throughout the evening and live bands in Fuelers bar. The first band on was Olly Dabblers followed by The Nylon Brothers with Nova ending the night.

The night ended with a spectacular fireworks display.

We hope you all enjoyed the evening and hope to see you back at the Pod soon.
